Before the decisive fight in Saudi Arabia with Tyson Fury, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk met with 13-year-old Timofey. The athlete personally invited the boy to watch the fight.

The absolute heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk invited a 13-year-old boy, whose father died in the war against Russia, to his fight against Tyson Fury. This was reported in UNITED24.

Timofey, together with his father Yevgeny, liked to watch boxing. However, in August 2023, the boy's relative died in Donetsk region, defending Ukraine.

Mom Yulia told about her son's story. The woman's post was seen by the UNITED24 team, which decided to organize a meeting between Tymofiy and Oleksandr Usyk. The boxer signed and gave the boy his gloves, and also invited him to a fight with Tyson Fury.

Last week, Tymofiy and his mother traveled more than 4,600 km from Kyiv to Riyadh and on the eve of the historic match, they met with the champion in order to see Oleksandr enter the ring and become the first absolute champion in boxing in 25 years, said UNITED24.

Yulia said that Timofey was very worried about the Ukrainian boxer, but he learned an important lesson for himself from the results of the fight.

By the ninth round, Timofey was very worried about Oleksandr , literally for every stroke. But after the ninth round and the knockout, he said that he understood: you can get hits, but if you aim for victory, everything will be fine in the end, there will be victory!, – the woman noted.
