Developers have revealed the technical characteristics of the advanced Swedish fighter that conquers the airspace

Developers have presented the new Swedish fighter JAS 39 Gripen E, which specializes in gaining superiority in air and assault operations. The JAS 39 Gripen E developed by SAAB is a significant advance in the fourth generation of aviation technology.

The JAS 39 Gripen E is a single-seat fighter capable of taking off from almost any surface, including remote highways. This feature makes it ideal for countries with “highly expressed threats and large territories that need to be protected”. The fighter is distinguished by a large operational range, reaching more than 3,200 km, and the ability to quickly refuel and rearm in combat conditions. “//www.youtube.com/embed/1VlrhmyqgHs” allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”>

On armed JAS 39E Gripen are air-to-air missiles; IRIS-T and AIM-9 Sidewinder with thermal guidance and MBDA Meteor and AIM-120 AMRAAM radar missiles. In addition, the fighter can carry air-to-surface missiles; AGM-65 Maverick and long-range cruise missiles.

Thanks to its characteristics, Gripen E can provide the same or even greater combat power compared to other aircraft that can only stay over the battlefield for a limited time . The aircraft is already in the service of six countries: Sweden, Brazil, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Thailand and the Republic of South Africa, and Sweden and Brazil have ordered new modifications of this fighter.
