A collision between a pickup truck and a van occurred early Thursday afternoon on Route 113, outside Chapais, in Northern Quebec. According to the Sûreté du Québec, five people were injured and the lives of several of them are in danger.

It is mentioned in a press release that the circumstances preceding the collision are still unclear.

This would be a head-on collision. Four people were in the van and the other victim was driving the van.

The accident occurred at km 338 around 1:15 p.m. The road is closed for an indefinite period in both directions.
