A friend of the Syrian President was diagnosed with leukemia

A friend of Syrian President Asmi Assad was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. The SANA agency reported this to an official statement from the office of the head of state. In 2018, Asmi Assad was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The statement says that the president’s team has few symptoms, after which the condition has passed. Symptoms of myeloid leukemia include: fatigue, pallor, hemorrhage and bleeding, fever, infectious complications. During the hour of celebration, Asma Assad does not show up at official or public gatherings.

In 2018, Asma Assad was already diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2019, it was reported that the first lady of Syria had overcome cancer and was recovering.

Asmi Assad 48 years old. She was born in London and has a British population. Graduated from Royal College London. Around 2000 people traveled to Syria, where they met Bashar al-Assad. The couple has three children.
