Biden organizes meeting over Iranian attack on Israel

US President Joe Biden said that he would convene an extraordinary meeting of the Group of Seven countries in connection with Iran's direct attack against Israel.

He condemned the massive air attack on Israeli territory carried out by Iran and its proxy forces in the region.

"I just spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reaffirm the United States' unwavering commitment to Israel's security," – he noted.

Biden also said that US forces deployed in the Middle East helped Israel shoot down almost all missiles and attack drones.

"Tomorrow (April 14 – Ed.) I will convene G7 leaders to coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran's brazen attack. My team will engage with colleagues in the region, and we will continue to maintain close communication with Israeli leaders,” – Biden said.

He noted that US forces and facilities in the region were not hit, but will remain vigilant and the United States will not hesitate to take the necessary actions to protect its people.
