Attack on Borysoglebsk. The media reported that repairs were actually carried out at the affected factory

At the affected aircraft factory in Borysoglebsk, Voronezh Region, Russia, missiles for aircraft were being repaired and restored.

RBK-Ukraine reports this with reference to Defense Express.

On the night of April 9, a long-range kamikaze drone struck the aviation plant in Borysoglebsk, which is located 300 kilometers from Ukraine. As Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense noted, according to preliminary information, the main production facilities of the enterprise were affected during the attack.

As the publication writes, the affected enterprise in Borysoglebsk is the “711th Aviation Repair Plant”, which did not repair airplanes and helicopters. At the same time, its profile was:

  • air-to-air missiles: R-27, R-73, R-33;
  • air-to-surface missiles: Kh-25, Kh-58;
  • Kh-55 and high-speed Kh-22 cruise missile guidance equipment;
  • ground radio stations of the R-844M, R-845M type and other radio technical support systems flights.

“The company's annual reports, the publication of which was discontinued in 2021 due to the introduction of a regime of total secrecy regarding state contracts in the Russian Federation, speak of this. At the same time, already at the end of the 2010s, the reports indicate the most blurred categories of “repair of aviation guided weapons,” the publication adds.

Defence Express adds that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has actively deployed X-55s and X-555s, as well as X-22s, which needed to be restored. this participation.

A night attack on the Voronezh region
