The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia ran a half-marathon and raised funds for drones for the Armed Forces

Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze took part in the Riga Marathon. She covered 21 kilometers to collect money for drones for Ukraine.

Minister Baiba Brazhe announced this on the social network X (Twitter). She bragged about how much she managed to raise.

I am running my first half marathon. My number is 815 – Ukraine has been fighting Russian aggression for so many days. My goal is to raise funds for drones for Ukraine, Brazhe wrote the day before.

In addition to the minister, other employees of the department, as well as diplomats, also participated in the marathon to raise funds for drones.

The half-marathon was difficult, but I am glad to be among the 34,000 participants and those who finished, Braje said.

According to the head of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a total of €10,000 was collected.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba thanked his Latvian colleague by writing , that her act in practice confirms the phrase about supporting Ukraine “as much as is necessary for its victory”.
