In Germany, they want to simplify employment for Ukrainian refugees. In particular, they plan to give them the opportunity to get a job without knowing the German language.

The Association of Cities and Municipalities of Germany called for accelerating the integration of Ukrainians in the labor market. This is reported by tagesschau.

It is worth noting that during the full-scale invasion, more than 1.2 million Ukrainian refugees left for Germany. However, as of the beginning of February this year, only 25% of them were able to get a job.

There is still too much bureaucracy when it comes to integration in the labor market. It should be possible to start work without first taking language and integration courses, said the head of the Association Andre Berhegger.

According to Andre Berhegger, measures for integration and language learning should be carried out in parallel with the beginning work The entire system of integration courses for Ukrainians is stagnating.

According to the Federal Employment Agency, last October, 129,000 Ukrainians attended integration courses. Of them, 95,000 completed the courses in February-March, the rest will complete by September 2024.

We must be prepared for the fact that refugees from Ukraine will continue to arrive. It is also not currently expected that the majority of Ukrainians will return to their homeland in the near future. That's why we need stable integration structures for this group, – said Berhegger.
