This is the third such test since the beginning of the year.

The military suspects that North Korea may have tested the missile. with a hypersonic warhead after an engine test last month.

In March, North Korea launched short-range ballistic missiles into the sea during a visit by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Seoul.

In mid-January, Pyongyang announced a successful tests of a solid-fuel missile.

The Pentagon says that North Korea continues to support Russia in the war. Meanwhile, last week, Russia blocked the mechanism for monitoring sanctions against North Korea at the UN.
