Samsung shipped a record 3 billion smartphones in 10 years and became the market leader

The leading position for 10 years, since 2014, has been secured by Samsung. The company shipped 2.937 billion smartphones worldwide. It is followed by Apple with 2.203 billion iPhones.

One of the most successful vendors also included: Xiaomi – 1.147 billion devices, Huawei – 1.057 billion, Oppo – 911.9 million, Vivo – 526.6 million. At the same time, Samsung launched and sold 33% more gadgets than Apple, and more than Xiaomi, Huawei and Vivo combined.

Samsung sold the largest number of smartphones in 2015 &ndash ; 320.9 million units. The most successful year for Apple – 2021, the company sold – 234.9 million devices.

At the moment, Samsung's global share has decreased by 10%, while Apple's position has increased by 2%.
