Ukrainian basketball player Svyatoslav Mykhailiuk achieved great success. He became the champion of the National Basketball Association (NBA) as part of the American team “Boston Celtics”.

He is already the second Ukrainian in history to win the NBA championship, after Stanislav Medvedenko, who achieved this in 2001 and 2002 as part of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Basketball Federation of Ukraine tells more about it.

It is known that the “Boston Celtics” won the final series against the “Dallas Mavericks” with a score of 4:1. This title became the first for Boston over the past 16 years and 18th overall, making the club one of the most successful in NBA history.

During the season, Mykhailiuk performed as a member of Boston's deep rotation, having played in 42 matches, of which he started twice. He averaged 10 minutes per game and scored 4 points, and his contribution in the final series included 5 points and two assists in almost 15 minutes of play.
