Rimouski resident Steve Dubé pleads guilty to one count of voyeurism for events dating back to March 4 and 11, 2022 at the La Cage brasserie in Rimouski.

The 44-year-old man's case was back in court at the Rimouski courthouse on Monday.

The Crown and the defense reached an agreement in this case to avoid a trial.

According to the complaint, the former La Cage employee surreptitiously produced a visual recording of several employees of the La Cage aux sports restaurant under circumstances that raise a reasonable expectation of privacy protection.

Still according to the denunciation, the recording took place while the person was in a place where it is reasonable to expect a person to be naked […] or to engage in explicit sexual activity.< /p>LoadingNo, Quebec will not have more powers in immigration, says Trudeau

According to our information, the recordings were captured in the reserved toilets to brewery employees. Last April, the director of the establishment, Patrick Dionne, affirmed that Steve Dubé had worked for La Cage de Rimouski for around ten years. He then added that he had fired Mr. Dubé after being made aware of the situation.

According to the Criminal Code, Steve Dubé could be liable to a maximum imprisonment of five years.

Remember that the forty-year-old also faces a charge of production of child pornography. The event would have occurred during the same period as the voyeuristic gestures.

He will be back in court at the Mont-Joli courthouse on the 5th August 2024 for sentencing submissions.
