UN officials have warned that supplies of medicine and fuel are running low in the Gaza Strip as aid workers struggle to provide life-saving aid to an ever-growing number of sick and wounded.
< p>"Stocks of medicine and fuel are at very, very low levels", – WHO representative Margaret Harris told reporters in Geneva, reports Voice of America.
According to her, since the Israeli invasion of Rafah began in early May, only three WHO trucks carrying humanitarian aid have entered the besieged city.
"Due to the border closure, 60 WHO trucks are waiting in El Arish, unable to travel to Rafah", – she said.
