Young Ukrainian singer SOWA impressed followers with a new performance of Jamala's song. She posted the clip on Instagram.

According to the star, she has been listening to the song “Promise” for a long time, it was her favorite composition from Jamala's repertoire. However, due to the fact that it is in Russian, after a full-scale invasion, the artist stopped listening to it.

Later, the thought came to me, what if I should not give up my favorite song and translate it into Ukrainian? And you know, the Ukrainian song gained even more depth, – SOWA said.

“You will return, promise…” the text from the song “Promise” carries an important meaning for Ukrainian women. Who during the war are waiting for the defenders to return from the front, and this separation is very painful.
