According to company director Yoshiki Enomoto, the bomb could not be integrated into their devices during production because the process is "highly automated and fast".

The Japanese company ICOM has denied its involvement in the production of portable walkie-talkies linked to the explosions against the Hezbollah armed group. This was reported by Reuters.

«The bomb could not be integrated into one of our devices during production. The process is highly automated and fast, so there is no time for such things», — said ICOM representative Yoshiki Enomoto.

He said ICOM stopped making these models of radio receivers a decade ago, so most of those still sold are fakes.

"If it turns out to be a fake, then we will have to investigate how someone made a bomb that looks like our product. If it is real, we will have to track its distribution to find out how it got there, — added Enomoto.
