"Kaleton"/Oleg Kiper

On Saturday, June 8, the first beach for tourists was opened in Odesa. Its name is “Kaleton” – one of the 20 locations that are planned to be opened in the region.

This was reported by Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa OVA in Telegram.

As reported by the head of the region , the permission for people's access to the sea was signed by him and the commander of the operational strategic group of troops “Odessa”, Eduard Moskalyov.

They signed a joint order with the commander of the “Odesa” OSUV on people's access to the sea. As of today, the first open zone is “Kaleton” beach in Odesa, he said.

According to the head of OVA, the list of beaches will be supplemented as inspections are carried out.

We expect to open about 20 beaches in Odesa and the region, as well as one lagoon in the Izmail district, Kiper noted. the presence of people near the sea is prohibited.

Unlike in 2023, when only 6 beaches were opened in Odessa and then only in August, this year they decided to start the bathing season earlier, allowing rest in 20 locations. At the same time, each of them is checked before opening.
