The fastest SSD in the world released company Gigabyte

The company Gigabyte presented its fastest consumer NVMe-drive – Aorus Gen5 14000 SSD.

Aorus Gen5 14000 SSD supports the PCIe 5.0 standard and achieves a sequential read speed of more than 14 GB/s.

Aorus Gen5 14000 SSD will be available in versions with a volume of 1 , 2 and 4 Tb. For the 2-TB model, the speed of sequential reading up to 14,500 MB/s and sequential writing up to 12,700 MB/s is declared. Other models will be slightly slower.

The Aorus Gen5 14000 SSD uses the Phison PS5026-E26 memory controller, manufactured using a 12nm process that meets the specifications of the NVMe 2.0 protocol. 232-layer TLC 3D NAND flash memory chips and DDR4 cache memory are also used.

For the 1-TB version, sequential read speeds of up to 13,600 MB/s and write speeds of up to 10,200 MB are claimed. /s, and for the 4-TB variant – 14,100 Mb/s and 12,600 Mb/s, respectively. The 1 TB model is equipped with 2 GB LPDDR4 cache memory, the 2 TB version – 4 GB of cache, and the 4 TB option – 8 GB.

The maximum power consumption of the SSD is 11.5 W. The declared resource of novelties – up to 1.6 million hours of failover or up to 3000 TBW (terabytes of overwritten information). The company provides a five-year warranty on the drive.
