North Korea said it had tested more one new solid-fueled medium-range hypersonic missile as it continues to expand its nuclear missile program amid rising tensions with its neighbors and the United States.
North Korea's state media report came a day after South Korea and Japan The military recorded a missile launch from the interior of the country towards the Sea of Japan, reports Associated Press.
The test was observed by authoritarian leader Kim Jong-un, who named the missile “Hwasong-16B” a key element of deterrence, which he promised to further build up to counter his “enemies,” meaning the United States, South Korea and Japan.
