Princess of Wales Kate Middleton diagnosed with cancer: undergoing chemotherapy

For some time, many discussions were raging around the royal family and Kate Middleton in particular. After the New Year, the princess suddenly disappeared.

On March 22, on her official Instagram page, Kate Middleton published a short video in which she personally explained that she has cancer. Now the 42-year-old woman is undergoing chemotherapy.

Middleton said that in January she underwent abdominal surgery. Everything went well, but subsequent tests showed the presence of cancer. Therefore, doctors advised her to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy.

This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I did everything we could to keep it private for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this took some time. I needed time to recover from major surgery to start treatment. But most importantly, we needed time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that was convenient for them and to reassure them that I would be all right, said the princess.

Princess Catherine noted that she had started treatment. She is feeling well and getting stronger every day. Her Highness did not specify the type of cancer in question. Kate is in the early stages of treatment. It's preventive chemotherapy.

I'm feeling good and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal: my mind, body and spirit. Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and reassurance. As is the love, support and kindness shown by so many of you. It means so much to both of us, Kate said.

It is expected that the couple will not be able to attend services on Easter Sunday. Also, the princess will not perform her official duties yet. Kensington Palace also confirmed that Prince William's sudden absence from the memorial service at the end of February was due to his wife's illness.
