Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has teamed up with Chinese battery manufacturer CATL to develop a new smartphone battery technology called the OnePlus Glacier Battery. Earlier, insiders had reported that a new battery would be coming to the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and now the company has officially confirmed it.

The post begins with a brief mention that moment when OnePlus introduced its 20W Dash Charge back in 2016 with the OnePlus 3, leading the fast charging revolution, and is now trying to maintain its lead with a new battery technology.
The post itself doesn't reveal any details, but insiders believe , that two companies have developed a highly efficient battery for mobile devices using a silicon negative electrode. It is said to offer higher density while maintaining fast charging speed.
The first smartphone, as indicated in a statement from the smartphone maker, will be unveiled on June 20. It is likely to be the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, which will offer a massive 6,100mAh battery with 100W charging, well above the industry average.
