After several leaks of photos from the set, we finally have the very first official images of Gladiator 2, revealing Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn or Pedro Pascal in their respective roles.

Until- there, the only images we had at that time get our teeth into Gladiator 2were leaks from filming. After a first glimpse of the Roman Coliseum and a sort of training camp, it is Paul Mescal (Lucius), the successor of Russell Crowe (Maximus) hero of this second opus signed Ridley Scott who revealed himself, sporting the same armor of his idol.

But there you have it! as Paramount Pictures (via Vanity Fair) has just broadcast the very first official images of the Roman hero on the networks. The opportunity to notice Paul Mescal and his muscles in full action, preparing for a fight in the arena, battling with Roman soldiers and mercenaries, as well as in a crypt, in front of the sword and armor of Maximus(we recognize the breastplate of the former general with the two horses engraved on it).

There's no doubt that Lucius is determined to follow in his idol's footsteps and face his destiny. Vanity Fairalso revealed visuals of the rest of the cast. We find there Denzel Washington (a former slave who became a powerful merchant), Pedro Pascal (a former high-ranking officer in the army), Connie Nielsen (still in the role of Lucilla, the mother of Lucius), and Joseph Quinn (the new emperor Caracalla).

As a reminder,Gladiator 2will see Paul Mescal play the character of Lucius Verus, the nephew of Emperor Commodus, played by by Joaquin Phoenix in the film released in 2000. The young man left to live in nature for around fifteen years, before returning to the city. Roman.
