The USA and Great Britain announced sanctions against the participants of the Iranian UAV program

The USA and Great Britain announced new sanctions against Iran and the participants of the Iranian UAV program.

«In response to Iran's unprecedented attack on Israel, the US is imposing sanctions against participants in the Iranian UAV program; suppliers and customers of one of the largest steel producers in Iran, Khuzestan Steel Company; and the automaker Bahman Group and its three subsidiaries», — wrote Matthew Miller.

As reported by the US Department of the Treasury, the sanctions covered 16 individuals and two legal entities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and involved in the production of drones that Tehran used during the attack on Israel on April 13.

In addition, the US is introducing additional export control measures designed to limit Iran's access to microelectronics, which it uses in the production of weapons.
