>> Caution above all/Patrol Police of Kyiv

Often dangerous situations and traffic accidents on the road arise not only due to the carelessness of drivers, but also due to the negligence of pedestrians themselves. Everyone should remember the rules of the road.

In order to protect as many Ukrainians as possible from trouble on the road, law enforcement officers decided to remind the basic rules of the road.

Pedestrians are prohibited from:

– leave the road without making sure that there is no danger for yourself and other road users;

– suddenly leave, run out onto the road, even at a pedestrian crossing;

– allow children to enter the roadway independently, without adult supervision;

– cross the roadway outside the pedestrian crossing, if there is a dividing lane or the road has four or more lanes for traffic in both directions, as well as in in places where a fence is installed;

– delay and stop on the roadway, if it is not related to ensuring road traffic safety;

– move along a highway or a road for cars, with the exception of footpaths, parking and rest areas.
