By publishing videos on Meta platforms, creators will gain access to the content monetization program. However, to become a member of the program, you must be in the United States.
Mark Zuckerberg's Meta is offering a payout to popular content creators on “third-party” social media apps that join Facebook and Instagram. Selected users will receive a bonus of up to $5,000 if they post content on the platforms for more than three months, NDTV reports.
New users who will be accepted into the so-called Breakthrough programs will receive money during the first 90 days in the app, provided that they create at least 20 videos on Facebook and 10 videos on Instagram within 30 days.
Published videos must be publicly available and must not be promoted as advertisements.
By publishing content on Meta platforms, creators will gain access to Facebook's content monetization program, which allows users to earn additional income from their publications. In addition to the bonuses, Meta also offers a free trial of the verified blue checkmark, which helps accounts stand out and prove their “authenticity.”
However, to become a member of the program, you must be located in the US and be at least 18 years old.
Meta did not specify that this offer is intended for TikTok users, but it appeared after the platform was removed from app stores in the US. And although President Donald Trump postponed the app's disappearance from the US market for 75 days, TikTok, as noted, remains unavailable for download.
According to TikTok, it has 170 million users in the US and many will start looking for an alternative platform to make themselves known if the Chinese company's product disappears.
