Yaroslava Maguchih confidently won the "gold" stage of the Diamond League

Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchih won the “gold” of the Diamond League stage. It was held in Stockholm on Sunday, June 2.

Another Ukrainian high jumper – Iryna Gerashchenko – finished the competition with a bronze award. This is reported by Suspilne Sport.

After the accelerated height, the winner tried to overcome 2.03 m, but the bar failed twice. Yaroslava refused the third attempt in order to protect herself before the European Championship in Rome. This is the 14th victory of Yaroslava Maguchih in Diamond League tournaments.

German Imke Onnen took second place in Stockholm with a result of 1.94 m. Another Ukrainian track and field athlete – Iryna Herashchenko – finished the tournament in third place. The athlete overcame the first three starting marks without mistakes and won bronze with a result of 1.94 meters, second only to Onnen in the number of attempts. For Irina, this result was the best at international competitions in 2024.

This “gold” was the 14th victory of Maguchykh at the level of the Diamond League and the first the gold award of Ukrainian track and field athletes at these competitions.
