Xiaomi has announced an innovative WinPlay feature that allows users of the company's devices to run games created for Windows. Xiaomi's director of mobile system software Zhang Guoquan explained that the engine uses Xiaomi HyperCore technology to create a virtual environment on the tablet, ensuring high performance and stability.
WinPlay supports a wide range of gaming peripherals, including Xbox controllers, keyboards, and mice. The technology also allows you to play multiplayer games with up to four players at the same time.
According to Xiaomi, WinPlay provides stable gameplay with a performance loss of only 2.9%, and the average power consumption is 8.3 W. Currently, the innovation is available only on the flagship tablet Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 as part of beta testing. The date of the appearance of WinPlay on smartphones has not yet been announced.
