X-Men: This iconic actor teases his possible return to the MCU

With the Multiverse saga, several X-Men seeds have been sown in the various MCU series and films. After Wolverine who appears alongside Deadpool in the latest installment of the adventures of the Merc with a Mouth, this cult X-Men actor discusses his possible return to the Marvel cinematic universe.

A surprise appearance that delighted fans

Indeed, the public was able to discover this actor for the first time in the cinema in 2006 in X-Men: The Final Showdown. And he surprised fans around the world last year when he appeared in the post-credits scene of a Marvel movie that flopped at the box office. That movie is The Marvels. You probably remember that in this sequence, Monica Rambeau, played by Teyonah Parris, accidentally finds herself in a new universe with an alternate version of her mother, Maria Rambeau and … Henry “Hank” McCoy aka Beast.

It must be said that even if the success of The Marvels was not there, the fans particularly welcomed the return of Kelsey Grammer in the role of the mutant. And it is in a recent interview given to the American site ComicBook.comthat the actor returned to this appearance at the end of the sequel to Captain Marvel. The latter seems to have good news to share with all those who hope to see him again in the MCU.

Kelsey Grammer Talks About Talks With Marvel Studios

Indeed, Kelsey Grammer explained that after his participation in the post-credits scene of The Marvels, Marvel Studios contacted him with the aim of bringing him back in the role of this X-Men:

I can't say anything. What I do know is that there was a huge explosion when I got to the end of The Marvels. The response was almost… it wasn't unexpected. There would have been a response, but it was pretty overwhelming, and so there are conversations.

For now, the question remains whether and how the MCU will handle the events of this post-credits scene. Even Lashana Lynch, who plays Binary, doesn't know what Marvel Studios has in store for her character. As The Marvels left With MCU fan favorite Monica Rambeau stuck in the Beast universe, there's a good chance audiences will see Grammer in a future project. In the meantime, you can still catch the actor in the role in X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and The Marvels, which are available on Disney+.
