With bruises on his face: Oleksandr Usyk thanked Ukrainians for their support

Olexandr Usyk, the absolute world boxing champion in the heavyweight division, recorded a video with words of thanks to Ukrainians and all other people who supported him in the “fight of the century” against the British Tyson Fury.

In the video that the athlete published on his Instagram page, he jokes that “the face is a little bruised, but the victory is there.”

Aleksandr Usyk thanked those who were there for him prayed, and especially to the soldiers who defend our country. He also noted the exposure “every mother, father, wife and our children” during the onslaught of the invaders.

According to the champion, he receives a huge number of congratulatory messages. Oleksandr also repeated his thanks in English “for those who support me and support my country – this is very important.”

Thank God for everything. Glory to Ukraine! – concluded Usyk's address.

The boxer's face shows traces of the fight with the British Tyson Fury – two bruises under the eyes and a cut eyebrow. However, in general, the athlete feels good.
