Young performer Artem Kotenko won the national selection for “Junior Eurovision 2024” with the song “Home”. He received 5 points from the jury and 6 points in the audience vote.
On Sunday, September 22, the final of the National Selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 took place. The jury, together with the Ukrainians, elected a representative from Ukraine by voting.
Participants Artem Kotenko and Zlata Ivaniv scored the same number of points, but it is Artem who wins because he received more points from the audience.

Artem Kotenko 12-year-old singer from the city of Okhtyrka. The boy started singing at the age of 3, and already at the age of 5 he started professional vocal lessons, which was the start of his musical career.
During this time, the boy achieved significant success, in particular, he won at the Black Sea Games in 2021. In 2023, he entered the longlist of the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In addition to vocals, Artem is fond of choreography, playing the piano, and theater arts. He also has experience in running city events and participated in a charity telethon.
The song “Home” is dedicated to the theme of home as a place of strength and warm feelings. . It talks about how important it is to have a place that gives a sense of comfort and safety, especially for Ukrainians whose homes were lost or abandoned due to war. Artem hopes that the dreams of returning home will come true for every Ukrainian.
