WhatsApp Messenger will introduce a new feature for quickly forwarding messages to other applications

The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.24.25.20) has a new feature that will save users from having to go through a lot of steps when sharing content. The app is working on a new way to send messages and files that will allow you to directly send messages to other apps like Instagram, Facebook, X, and Snapchat (some of which are on the blacklist), without having to save anything on your phone.

What else is known

According to WABetaInfo, you will see a new panel at the bottom of the screen when you select the content you want to share. Connecting to Instagram and Facebook will become faster, as you can create stories directly from WhatsApp with a single tap.

The bottom panel will feature shortcuts to your most popular apps and a “More” button to access other apps. This feature complements other innovations, such as a new typing indicator, improving the everyday use of the application.

The update will also add the ability to share messages directly to X and Snapchat, expanding the possibilities for sharing content. This means you can select any message, photo, video, or GIF from your chats and groups to instantly post to these platforms.

With this feature, WhatsApp has taken special care of channel administrators. When they share updates, the application will automatically generate a link that refers to this content. This will make it easier for subscribers to access messages directly and increase the visibility of channels.

Integration with Meta applications will be especially convenient. For example, if you receive an interesting photo in a chat, you can post it as a story on Instagram without leaving WhatsApp. This process, which previously required several steps, will now be simplified to a few taps of the screen.

The feature is under development and will appear in the next update.
