A multiplayer survival game – RUST was released 11 years ago, but it recently broke its own record for the number of players.

Rust was released in early access back in 2013, and its final release took place in 2018.

The Facepunch Studios project transports gamers to the desert, where they need to gather resources and build their own fortifications to survive in the face of various threats.

Over the years, Rust has maintained its popularity, largely thanks to a constant stream of updates from the developers.

This is what helped the game break its own record for the number of simultaneous players.

Recently, the project's peak user count was set at 259,646 people.

In honor of this event, the developers published some more interesting statistics for 2024.

Thus, during this period, there were more than 325 million game sessions, and in total, gamers (5.5 million unique players) spent over 40 million hours.
