Venom: Marvel's choice for its new Carnage is surprising

After causing controversy by revealing the new Hawkeye, Marvel announces a surprising choice to say the least with its next Carnage. The House of Ideas has revealed the identity of the character who will soon slip into the red skin of Venom's enemy, and we are curious to discover how this choice will be explained.

Marvel presents its new Carnage

Of all the bad guys in the Spider-Man universe, Carnage is one of the bloodiest, as proven by the many very gory crimes to his credit. Unlike Venom, a sort of evil version of the spider-man, the red symbiote is much crazier and bloodthirsty. Is it the fault of the human he chose as a “home”, Cletus Kasady, a serial killer less than twenty years old? Until now, we could accuse his host for associating his criminal character with that of the alien entity, but this can no longer be the case with the new Carnage announced by Marvel at the New York Comic Con. During the Marvel Comics: Spider-Man and his Venomous Friends panel, a new comic book series associating Eddie Brock and the red symbiote was announced, creating a surprise among fans!

Eddie Brock: Carnage is written by Charles Soule (author of the literary saga Star Wars: The High Republic) and drawn by Jesus Saiz (who readers of Captain America and Punisher will know well). The series will debut in February 2025, and the plot will take place in the aftermath of Venom War. As for the pitch, it announces some very gory comics:

The deadliest protector of all! He's been VENOM, he's been ANTI-VENOM, he's been THE KING IN BLACK… Now, Eddie Brock has made his darkest bond yet by joining the one and only CARNAGE! Will he be able to control his new other's endless bloodlust? Or will he give himself over to madness and murder? Join Eddie and Carnage on a journey into the darkest parts of the Marvel Universe with bloody death as your only guide!

What do you think of this choice?
