Vampire children: workers accidentally discover this supernatural tomb

Do you like monsters? Demonic entities and other evil forces? Then you've come to the right place because today, we're offering you a trip to Poland, where a grave has just been unearthed and in which the bodies of two children were found, along with numerous clues suggesting that they were child vampires. Explanations.

A decapitated child, his head face down on a stone

The story seems to come straight from Transylvania, a famous region of present-day Romania, where the aristocratic vampire Dracula lived. But that's not the case. In fact, we're taking you on a tour of Poland, to the city of Chelm, where workers who were working near the cathedral accidentally discovered a tomb in a shallow grave that had never been referenced.

From then on, the workers who were on site to carry out a clearing mission alerted Polish authorities who brought archaeologists to the site.

Once there, Dr. Stanislawa Goluba, the archaeologist leading the research who intervened to explore this tomb, discovered that the bodies of two children were inside. But that's not the strangest part. Archaeologists note that one of the two bodies had particular characteristics like an anti-vampire device. Indeed, as he reports in a publication shared on Facebook, the researcher explains that one of the children was decapitated and his skull had been placed face down on a stone. For Dr. Stanislawa Goluba, this arrangement, like the way in which the skeletons were arranged, “appears to correspond to ancient burial methods used to prevent a person considered to be a demonic entity from emerging from the grave“.

Poland has a large number of such burials

The bones discovered were dated to the Middle Ages. Archaeologists removed them from the burial site for further analysis.

This is not the first time that such a discovery has been made in Poland. In 2013, Six skeletons were discovered in the northwest of the country, in different anti-vampire burials. This kind of ritual is not surprising as some historians note because beliefs about vampires were taken very seriously in Poland in the 17th century.

More recently, still in Poland, it was the skeleton of a woman that was discovered in a 17th century cemetery with a sickle under his throat. A technique used to bury people believed to be vampires in order to cut off their heads if they tried to leave the tomb.
