Fo then: USS Harder was found in Okinavi
At the bottom of the Ice-China Sea, the legendary American underwater vessel was found during the Second World War – USS Harder. This is reported to Business Insider by the US Department of Naval and Maritime History (NHHC).
The ship was found off the coast of the Japanese island of Okinawa on depth 3750 feet (1140 m). There is practically no damage to the underwater vessel, beyond the guise of the conning tower. We started searching for the Lost 52 project, which is about 52 American submarines that sank during the Second World War.
USS Harder (SS-257) is a Gato-class diesel-electric submarine. Having entered the battlefield in 1943, the army arrived at the US military-naval base at Pearl Harbor. The underwater choven completed six military campaigns. During the hour of one of them, suddenly, he sank three Japanese submarines.
The submarine was sunk by Japan on the shores of the Philippines in 1944. 80 sailors died while they were on board.
