Updated Mac mini and iPad mini from Apple may be released as early as November

It seems that this fall Apple plans to delight fans with many interesting hardware announcements. As reported by insider and journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the tech giant is going to announce “by the end of the month” new MacBook Pro models, updated Mac mini, M4 iMac and new iPad mini. And already on November 1, Apple plans to release “at least some” from these products.

According to Mark Gurman, during the presentation, the company will most likely present the 14-inch MacBook Pro in two variants – premium and slightly more affordable. But both versions will be equipped with M4 chips. A 16-inch MacBook Pro is also expected.

As for the Mac mini, Mark Gurman previously said that the upcoming M4-based model could be smaller than its predecessors. Its body will look approximately the size of an Apple TV set-top box. The size reduction could also mean the company ditches USB-A ports. Mark Gurman also predicts that the next presentation will take place in early 2025, and Apple will prepare a number of other products for it. Among them will be the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air M4, as well as the updated iPhone SE, which we recently wrote about, and the iPad Air of both sizes.

But the upcoming presentation does not end with hardware announcements. It is expected that iOS 18.1 will be released on October 28, and with it the first functions of Apple Intelligence will appear.

Last month, Apple said it plans to release iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 in October, which will bring some of the first Apple Intelligence features to the iPhone 16 and other company devices, but at the time, the tech giant was tight-lipped about the exact release date. . The first batch of Apple Intelligence features are expected to include a text editor and the Writing Tools summary tool, as well as intelligent audio recording and transcription for Mail, Notes, Pages and other applications.

Also, it is likely that the Photos app will get a new Memories feature, which should be an easy-to-use movie editor with images from your gallery, and a Cleanup feature that can remove objects from the background of images. Other Apple Intelligence features, such as integration with ChatGPT and Genmoji, are expected to appear in future versions of iOS 18. They will be released later this year and in early 2025.
