Ukrainians can help the Defense Forces protect the sky: how to do it

Ukraine has an application called “ePPO” that allows citizens to promptly report enemy targets, such as missiles, drones, or aircraft.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine with reference to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Ukraine has developed an application called “ePPO” to improve security during wartime

In order to improve the level of security and protection of Ukrainian citizens in conditions full-scale war, the “ePPO” application was developed. This application allows citizens to promptly report detected threats, in particular, enemy missiles, drones or aircraft. Thanks to innovative technologies and active user participation, the air defense system of Ukraine has become even more effective.

How the “ePPO” application works

The “ePPO” application allows each user who has noticed an enemy target to promptly report it via the application. Here's how it works:

  • Quick Message: Thanks to the geolocation function, information about the detected threat is immediately placed on the air defense map, which allows you to quickly react to the situation.

  • Artificial Intelligence: The system uses artificial intelligence to analyze data and predict the target's trajectory, which increases the effectiveness of responding to threats.

  • Function “You're flying”: A built-in feature alerts users to potential threats in their area, allowing them to prepare for danger.

Thanks to the information provided by users of the application, the Ukrainian air defense system became more effective in detecting and destroying enemy targets, which helped close the sky by 80%.

How to use the “ePPO” application

In order to start using “ePPO”, it is necessary to undergo identification through the state application “Diya”. After that, the user has the opportunity to choose the type of detected target – be it a drone, missile or other object – and send information about it. Thanks to this, the data is automatically transmitted to the air defense system, which allows for prompt response to the threat.

Let us remind you that in Ukraine a mobile application “ePPO” appeared, with which you can report on the movement of enemy air targets. The app can also report the explosion sound.
