The Diia portal has restored the ability to submit applications to the international Register of Damages, which records damage or destruction of housing as a result of Russian aggression.
Details
The function was temporarily unavailable, but now Ukrainians can again officially document the damage in order to claim compensation in the future.
Anyone can submit an application, regardless of the location of their housing, even if it is in a zone hostilities or in temporarily occupied territory.
How to submit an application:
Recording damages through the official register will not only allow victims to receive compensation in the future, but will also become part of the international liability mechanism rf.
This is the first official platform created with the participation of Ukraine, the EU and 42 other countries to collect applications for material losses caused by the war.
The register operates in The Hague and is part of a global initiative to create a compensation mechanism.
Ukrainians who have already participated in the eRecovery program, as well as those who previously registered property in the State Register of Property Rights, can also apply.
