Ukrainian mobile operators have rewritten tariff prices – what has changed?

Mobile operators have taken a serious approach to raising the cost of tariff plans. Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell revised service prices, which caused considerable indignation among subscribers. The wave of price increases even led to the loss of a large number of customers, as Ukrainians took advantage of porting their numbers to another, more financially profitable, network.

The Novini.LIVE website tells how much subscribers have to pay for mobile communication services.

What has changed at Kyivstar

Kyivstar was the first to report on the massive price increase. In December, the cost of many packages increased by an average of 25%, but at the same time, the content increased. Customers received additional gigabytes and minutes for calls, as well as the ability to connect unlimited services.

The popular tariff plan “LOVE UA Light Contract 2023” now costs 225 UAH per month (+50 UAH), and the packages “VASH Region”, “VASH Optimum” and “Smart Max” have increased in price by 75 UAH — to 275, 375 and 450 UAH respectively.

Certain bonuses in the form of low cost are provided for users of the tariffs “LOVE UA Magnet”, “LOVE UA Comfort” and “LOVE UA Light”. But the categories of subscribers are also limited: only for the elderly or customers who have ported their mobile number to the Kyivstar network. The prices are as follows:

  • LOVE UA Magnet — 100 UAH for 12 months (standard price — 175 UAH);
  • LOVE UA Comfort — 140 UAH;
  • LOVE UA Light — 250 UAH.

What's changed at Vodafone

The mobile operator's tariffs have increased in price since January 30, 2025. The difference in cost ranges from 40 to 70 UAH, plus the content of some service packages has changed. From now on, subscribers pay the following amounts monthly for the use of minutes and traffic:

  • Vodafone SuperNet Turbo — 250 UAH instead of 190 UAH;
  • Vodafone SuperNet Turbo 2019 — 250 UAH instead of 200 UAH;
  • Vodafone SuperNet Start — 260 UAH instead of 200 UAH;
  • Vodafone SuperNet Start 2019 — 260 UAH instead of 195 UAH;
  • Vodafone SuperNet Pro — 340 UAH instead of 280 UAH;
  • Vodafone SuperNet Unlim — 470 UAH instead of 410 UAH;
  • Joice — 260 UAH instead of 200 UAH;
  • Joice Start 2023 — 260 UAH instead of 200 UAH;
  • Joice Pro 2023 — 320 UAH content 260 UAH;
  • Joice Max 2023 — 390 UAH instead of 330 UAH;
  • Vodafone Light+ — 185 UAH instead of 145 UAH;
  • Turbo 2023 — 250 UAH instead of 180 UAH.

Many tariff plans have increased gigabytes. For example, in SuperNet Start — from 20 to 25 GB, in Joice Max 2023 — from 50 to 60 GB, in  SuperNet Unlim — from 80 to 100 GB, in SuperNet Start 2019 — from 18 to 25 GB, in Light+ — from 10 to 14 GB, in Joice — from 18 to 25 GB, in Turbo 2023 — from 40 to 50 GB.

Vodafone has also launched a new line of comprehensive tariffs called GigaCombo. They include four services at once: communication, fixed Internet, mobile traffic and television. So Ukrainians can avoid overpaying for connecting all services separately, saving up to 50%. Tariffs cost:

  • GigaCombo — 350 UAH per month (promotional price 250 UAH);
  • GigaCombo+ — 400 UAH per month (promotional price 300 UAH);
  • GigaCombo Pro — 425 UAH per month (promotional price 250 UAH);
  • GigaCombo Pro+ — 475 UAH per month (promotional price 250 UAH).

What has changed at lifecell

The mobile operator plans large-scale changes in February 2025. According to the CEO of DVL Group, Mykhailo Shelemba, prices for services will increase by approximately 34%. Some tariffs will be completely closed from February 17 to March 20, and for some packages, the terms of service will be revised from February 5.

The tariffs subject to update are “Smart Life, “Prosto Life”, “Free Life”, “Powerful”, “Zvinsky BEZMEZH”, “Free Life. Region”, “Platinum Life”, “Zhara Light 2022” and others.

The “Prosto Life” offer will cost 210 UAH instead of 160 UAH, and the service package will include 8 GB of mobile Internet, unlimited calls to lifecell and 300 minutes for calls to other subscribers in Ukraine.

The cost of “Smart Life” will be 300 UAH instead of 225 UAH. Subscribers will be able to use 25 GB of traffic and 500 minutes for calls to Ukraine. Calls on the lifecell network are not charged.

The “Platinum Life” tariff will cost Ukrainians 600 UAH instead of 450 UAH. The service package will include unlimited mobile Internet and calls on lifecell plus 3,500 minutes for calls to customers of other operators in Ukraine.
