Ukraine's defense forces use various modifications of the Ratel ground robotic platforms, which are controlled via the Starlink satellite Internet. These drones carry out strikes against Russian occupiers, mine territories, transport cargo and evacuate the wounded. Constant improvements of these robots take place at the requests of the military.
At today, the Armed Forces use four types of Ratel platforms: a kamikaze drone, a tow truck, a logistics drone and a drone for remote demining. According to Taras Ostapchuk, head of the manufacturing company, feedback from the military helps to constantly improve these platforms, and the sixth iteration is currently being developed.
«Our platforms work through Starlink has been around for over six months. The operator can be anywhere in the world and manage the platform, — noted Ostapchuk. — «For example, a robot for remote demining has an average range of 3 kilometers, while an evacuator platform set a record by traveling 30 kilometers with a load of three people (about 450 kg)»< /strong>.
At the moment, an add-on for a logistics drone is being developed, which will allow it to carry 10 anti-tank mines at the same time. The company already has direct contracts with units of the Armed Forces and is finalizing the signing of contracts with the Ministry of Digital and Defense Procurement Agency.
