Ukrainian Artem Kotenko set a record at Junior Eurovision 2024

The winner of the National Selection for Junior Eurovision 2024, Artem Kotenko, set a record at the show. The 12-year-old became the first participant in this year's contest, whose performance was viewed more than 100,000 times.

Only a week after the National Selection in Ukraine, the video on YouTube collected more than 115,000 views. The success of the song was noted in Telegram “House of Eurovision”.

The winner of the National Selectionfor Junior Eurovision 2024, 12-year-old Artem Kotenko comes from Okhtyrka, Sumy region. He performed the song “Home” about how Russians take away Ukrainians' homes and hometowns, and won the show. The vocalist himself flatly refused to leave the frontline Okhtyrka.

Artem Kotenko's performance in the final of the National Selection crossed the mark of 100,000 views! Thus becoming the first participant of this year's Junior Eurovision, who managed to reach this number! – the statement says.

Artyom connected his life with music at the age of 3, and at the age of 5 he began to do vocals professionally. He already won at the Black Sea Games in 2021. This is not the young man's first attempt to conquer Eurovision: in 2023, he entered the longlist of the National Selection. His dream is to become famous all over the world and show the fans that, as the boy says, the talents live in Ukraine.

It should be noted that the performance of last year's grand finalist at the National Junior Eurovision Song Contest was watched by more than 225 thousand people. Anastasia Dymid represented Ukraine in 2023 with the song “Flower”. The girl won fifth place for the Motherland on the international stage.
