Yaroslava Maguchih became the European champion in high jump. In the final, the 22-year-old Ukrainian defended the title she won for the first time in 2022.

On Sunday, June 9, Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslav Maguchykh won the European Championship in Rome. This is reported by Suspilne Sport.

Two Ukrainian women made it to the women's high jump final: Yaroslava Maguchih and Iryna Herashchenko. On the other hand, at the qualification stage, two more Ukrainian women stopped their performances – Yuliya Levchenko and Yuliya Chumachenko.

Ukrainian Yaroslava Maguchykh in the high jump competitionconquered a height of 2.01 meters, surpassing in the fight for the gold medal the Serbian Angelina Topich – 1.97 meters. Dnipro won the continental championship for the second time in a row.

22-year-old Yaroslava Maguchih became the third high jumper in history to win more than two awards at the European Championships.

After her performance in the qualification, the Ukrainian jumper reported in an exclusive comment for Suspilne Sport that she had injured her leg, which she received at the Diamond League stage in Stockholm.
