Turkey has received the green light from Germany to buy Eurofighter jets. A technical delegation has arrived in the country for further negotiations, Euronews reports.
The publication noted that Germany, which had long been blocking the sale of weapons and military equipment to Turkey, has softened its stance in recent days.

For this purpose, a technical delegation consisting of experts from England, Italy, Spain and Germany, members of the Eurofighter consortium, arrived in the country.
During the negotiations, which will last about three weeks, many technical issues are being discussed, in particular the stages of the combat aircraft procurement process, how personnel training will be carried out and how maintenance programs will be implemented.
If Germany approves the sale after the negotiations, Turkey will purchase 24 Eurofighters in the first stage. Later, this number will be increased to 40.
