Turkish "Leopard": FNSS presented a new wheeled armored vehicle PARS III

The defense company FNSS from Turkey presented its next new item in the field of armored vehicles to the defense market — a PARS III wheeled vehicle with an improved TEBER-35 UKK remote-controlled turret.

As experts from the defense section of the Building-TECH portal stated, this new system is developed on the well-known PARS platform (from the Turkish — Anatolian "leopard") to meet the needs of modern military operations, combining advanced technologies for increasing accuracy and versatility, reports ArmyInform .

The peculiarity of the proposed innovation is that the TEBER-35 UKK tower is designed for integration into both wheeled and tracked armored vehicles. It is equipped with a medium-caliber automatic cannon and an advanced target detection and fire control system.

This turret system, controlled remotely by the gunner and the commander through the control console inside the vehicle, provides uninterrupted command and control even in difficult combat conditions.

TEBER-35 UKK ensures effective operation in various conditions thanks to the latest technologies in the field of propulsion installations, fire control, survivability and firepower. Its electric gun turret drive system and two-axis stabilization guarantee high accuracy even while moving.

The TEBER-35 UKK is equipped with a 40-mm Mk44 automatic cannon with a maximum rate of fire of 200 rounds per minute and an ammunition capacity of the same 200 rounds. In addition, the turret can be equipped with a 50 mm Bushmaster III automatic cannon. Various types of ammunition, such as high-explosive, anti-tank, or programmable airburst rounds, provide versatility in effectively engaging a variety of targets.

Additional to the primary armament is a twin machine gun, available in either a 7.62mm machine gun configuration with an electric drive, or in the configuration of a 7.62-mm gas machine gun. The gun with an electric drive provides advantages in reliability and safety, allowing continuous  fire without the intervention of the crew and reducing the emissions of powder gases.

It should be recalled that, as reported ArmyInform, in February of this year, the Turkish giant FNSS at the defense products exhibition World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia for the first time presented its fifth-generation armored personnel carrier PARS ALPHA 8×8.
