Residents of the Kherson region fell for the scammers' hook and paid with their own savings. In total, the victims lost 68 thousand hryvnias.
This is reported by the Kherson region police.
A resident of Antonivka saw information about payments on the Internet. To do this, he followed an unknown link. Later, he indicated the code that the victim received on his phone. After these actions, all savings disappeared from the applicant's card. In total, the victim lost 21 thousand hryvnias due to his gullibility.
Another 43-year-old resident of the region decided to buy a car. On the classifieds website, the man decided to order a vehicle. The “Seller” promised to find a suitable car, but only after prepayment. The victim transferred 30 thousand hryvnias to the attacker in several payments. After that, the ad disappeared from the website, and the seller stopped contacting him. As a result, the applicant was left without a car and without his own savings.
A 29-year-old resident of the Kherson region also filed a complaint with the police. The victim received a message in the messenger allegedly from a relative asking to borrow money. The woman did not check the information and transferred 17 thousand hryvnias to the sent account number. Later, the victim learned that her relative's page had been “hacked” by fraudsters.
Based on all the facts, investigators initiated proceedings under Art. 190 “Fraud” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
