Xiaomi announced the update of five smartphones at once to the revolutionary 5.5G standard

"Xiaomi" announced the release of an update for 5 smartphone models of its ecosystem, as a result of which the devices became compatible with the new 5.5G network standard. This update, labeled as HyperOS V1.0.9.0.UNACNXM, allows devices to achieve download speeds of up to 10 Gbps. (+ 1 Gbps, which is three times faster than 5G).

Details

The 5.5G standard, also known as 5G Advance, provides not only high data rates, but and improved security, as well as a longer coverage range compared to 5G.

Currently, the update is only available for models with Chinese firmware. It is expected that in the near future it will become available for global and European devices of the ecosystem.

To work in the new network, devices must be equipped with modems compatible with 5.5G. These devices include all smartphones of the Xiaomi 14 model series (the basic version of the same name, the improved Pro and the top Ultra), as well as the Redmi K70 Pro and CIVI 4 Pro equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3/8s Gen 3 processor sets.

< p>The terms of the distribution of the new standard outside the PRC are not specified.
