The world's cheapest Android smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has been released

Honor has introduced the new Honor GT smartphone, which has become the cheapest device based on the ex-flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Its cost on the Chinese market is 2,199 yuan, or $300, writes Fone Arena.

In addition to the top processor, the new product from Honor is equipped with a FHD+ AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.7 inches and a frequency of 120 Hz. The PWM adjustment frequency is 3840 Hz – In this regard, the device surpasses almost all flagship smartphones. It is believed that the higher the PWM indicator, the safer the device is for the eyes.

The main camera of the Honor GT has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 sensor with a size of 1/1.56 inches with optical image stabilization. It is complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide with macro capabilities. The selfie camera has a resolution of 16 MP and an aperture of f/2.45. The battery capacity is 5300 mAh, and 100 W fast charging is supported via USB Type-C.

To improve the efficiency of applications and games, the manufacturer has developed a unique Phantom Engine. Among its features – artificial intelligence to predict frame freezes, dynamic optimization of power consumption depending on the load level and video recognition technology to improve movie playback.

The smartphone runs Android 15 with Magic UI 9.0, the 7.7 mm thick body has received IP65 protection. There are three colors to choose from: black, white and green. For $ 300, a younger version of the smartphone with 12/256 GB of memory is available. The top version with 16 GB/1 TB will cost $450.

Honor GT will compete with Realme Neo 7 and the recently released Redmi K80, which is also equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, but costs $30 more.

This fall, smartphones based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 – new generation processors – began to appear on the market. In the November AnTuTu rating, the Asus ROG 9 Pro showed itself best – it leads by a wide margin from the Vivo X200 Pro. Oppo Find X8 Pro closes the top three.
