The world-famous violinist Vasyl Popadyuk played against the background of the destroyed “Dream”

First of all, I really wanted to visit here and see Mriya with my own eyes. When I arrived at the Gostomel airport and found myself near the legendary plane, I was seized by disturbing feelings: great sadness and regret that our Dream was destroyed. The whole airport is filled with sadness. The big plane, mutilated, stood there like an orphan. I didn't plan exactly what kind of music I would play, so all these feelings poured out from under the bow by themselves, from the depths of my heart, the musician shared.

Vasyl played his own composition “Elegy” – a melody, according to the author himself, full of grief and sorrow and at the same time hope and faith in a better future. Skripal calls his performance near the “Dream” a symbol of the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit for the whole world.

The dream has died, but the Ukrainian people will live, create and dream, because it is dreams that make us human, – he adds he.

Vasyl Popadyuk's concert will take place in Kyiv on April 4 at the Moscow Art Museum. He will play his own works on it, as well as works by other composers that have already become classics. The goal of the large charity tour of Vasyl Popadyuk and PAPA DUKE BAND in Ukraine is to collect FPV drones for the special purpose tactical unit of H.R.I.M. as part of the 41st OMBr of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
