The Witcher season 4: new preview of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt

While the fourth season of The Witcher is currently being filmed, new images of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt have just leaked online.

THE WITCHERSEASON 4

In 2019, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich decided to adapt the famous novels The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski, released in the mid-1980s. A live-action adaptation produced and distributed by Netflix, which, overall, appeals to fans of the source material. As for the casting, it is the actor Henry Cavill who is chosen to play Geralt.

But, after three seasons, Henry Cavill decides to abandon the role. Indeed, the British actor is starting to get tired of the role of Geralt. It seems that increasingly significant creative differences have developed between the actor and the production. Similarly, at the time when Cavill is abandoning the role of Geralt, he is strongly expected to find the character of Superman in the DC Extended Universe(DCEU). But Netflix does not seem to be destabilized. The production decides to continue the development of The Witcher with a new actor. It is therefore Liam Hemsworth who will succeed Henry Cavill for this 4th season of The Witcher.

Filming for this fourth season is continuing quietly. During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, Liam Hemsworth discussed the amount of filming time he has left:

I still have about three weeks after this week of filming. So we're shooting for about eight months. Three more weeks, then we break for about four months, then come back next year and do another eight months.

This season 4 does not yet have a release date, but should see the light of day sometime in 2025.
