US data shows that China has sharply increased sales Russian machine tools, microelectronics and other technologies that Moscow uses to produce missiles, tanks, aircraft and other weapons to wage war against Ukraine, informs the AP.
According to Reuters interlocutors, in 2023, Russia received supplies from China about 90% of microelectronics imports. In addition, almost 70% of Russian imports of machine tools worth about $900 million in the last quarter of 2023 – also of Chinese origin.
In addition, Chinese and Russian enterprises are working on joint production of drones in Russia, and companies from China are allegedly providing Russia with nitrocellulose necessary for the production of rocket fuel.
Beijing is working with Russia to improve its satellite and other space capabilities to wage war in Ukraine. This, according to the White House, could in the long term increase the threat that Russia poses to all of Europe.
Citing intelligence data, US officials also said that China is providing satellite imagery to Russia for military operations against Ukraine.
