The salary of the President of the Institute of National Remembrance. This is the salary received by Karol Naworcki

What salary can the president of the Institute of National Remembrance expect?

As the “Super Express” portal recalls, on Sunday afternoon, Law and Justice announced that it will support Karol Naworcki, the current president of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), in next year's presidential elections. Many people were interested in the issue of the IPN chief's salary. How much can he expect to earn?

Karol Nawrocki at the IPN since 2009

Karol Nawrocki has been associated with the IPN since 2009, although he has been its president since July 23, 2021. As the daily reminds us, “in the years 2014-2017 he served as head of the Branch Office of Public Education of the IPN Gdańsk”, where he conducted scientific and educational work.

As the IPN is a state institution, the remuneration of its head is calculated using a multiplier remuneration system. This year's budget act set the multipliers at 7.84 and 2.10. As the tabloid notes, the base amount is currently PLN 1,789.42 gross.

Karol Nawrocki, as the president of the Institute of National Remembrance, currently earns 14,029 PLN and 5 groszy gross. To this is added a functional allowance of 3,757 PLN and 78 groszy gross.

The president can count on such earnings

Karol Nawrocki, who will run in next year's presidential elections with the support of PiS, if he wins the election, can count on a significant salary increase. Current President Andrzej Duda earns PLN 25.5 thousand.

Next year, the head of state's earnings will increase by PLN 1 thousand, which is related to the planned indexation of salaries in the state budget sector in 2025.

Former presidents can also count on a presidential pension, which is paid for life. This amounts to 75 percent of the basic salary paid to the incumbent president. This means that former presidents can count on a monthly benefit in excess of PLN 13 thousand. PLN net.

Were you surprised by the amount of the IPN president's earnings?
